Dark Shadows Update

So, once again I noticed my last post was a month ago, and before I write anything else, let me put up the update link in case I forget. (here) It's a longer one and another murder scene, so be forewarned there is more fake blood and a lot more swearing than usual. I think.

Also added the crazy Christina's bio, here. Not really any surprises but I wanted to include all major characters. :)

Now onwards...

I would like to apologize to the loyal readers I have for lagging in updates, I'm not happy with it either, trust me! I wish I could manage weekly updates, for one to actually finish this story and the simfic50 challenge. I am hoping before October, I have possible major plans in action around then and stress would not be welcome!

I'm just too busy. Too much going on, good and bad...drama, drama, and more drama. And just when you get over the last one...more drama! I have had a rough few months in personal stuff, finding out family isn't what it's supposed to be (thankfully extended family but it doesn't feel great to find out nonetheless) It's just one thing after another lately and among it all I'm still trying to be a great mom to a bouncing two year old!

Also hubby is back on night shift, so that in itself has turned everything upside down for us, he is at home sleeping four days in a row and then off bugging me for three days. It's hard to keep a kid quiet all day, so needless to say that has been hard, trying to find things to do outside of the house when it's a sweltering 100 degrees and forget trying to clean or do anything productive inside that makes too much noise. Yeah, I don't like it and he's stuck with this schedule for at least 10 or 11 more months. Ugh.

And totally irrelevant but someone could have mentioned to me that potty training feels pretty darn impossible! I realize he won't "graduate in diapers" like everyone loves to joke but Lord! I have a stubborn one on my hands, he goes back and forth every day whether he cares if anything is in his pull ups or not, so that's my little rant for the day! LOL.

And since I can't seem to pop on more than once a month, that's why this is so long, had to get a lot out so sorry if you actually took time to read this! :D

No worries on the timing of your updates Em. Whenever you can is fine.

Boys are very hard to potty train compared to girls (so I am told). With my boys - and this may sound gross - I used incentives. Target practice was one. A piece of toilet paper in the bowl and they were to try and aim for it. Also used Cheerios but...that might not be such a great idea...

Thank you Gayl! I only have one problem with updating so slowly, I want to actually finish! I am always amazed that the readers still come back and stay interested, I appreciate it so much.

Yep I have heard the same, I love it when people who had girls act like he's late because he's two. I have heard kids in kindergarten have to have their diapers changed. Now that's bad! I know 2 isn't all that late so it's okay, I just wish we could make some progress. I think the aiming thing works, we haven't made it to standing up though so I'll probably try it when the time comes.

LOL at the Cheerios! I thought the kids might be confused why it's in the toilet but I have heard lots of people using that and it works! :D
